Library Closure during our 2017 Remodeling Project


February 27 - March 12

The library is closed from February 27 through March 12.  Materials may still be returned in the drive-up book drop on the east side of the library during the closure.  Watch Facebook and our website - www.winterset.lib.ia.us - for further updates on the remodel progress.

Need internet access?  Public computing and internet access will be available during the closure from Feb. 27 through March 11 using the library's mobile computer lab at the Winterset Art Center (224 S. John Wayne Dr.).  Public computing hours will be 10 am - 7 pm, Mondays through Thursdays and 10 am through 5 pm, Fridays and Saturdays during the closure.

** If you need to schedule a meeting room during this time, click on the list of Alternative Venues for Room Rental link to get phone numbers of other venues with meeting rooms.

Ongoing Library Programs​​​​


Book Discussion Group - 4th Thursday of month, from 7:00-8:00 pm will meet at the Union State Bank meeting room, 611 W. Hwy. 92, Winterset

Community Coffee Group - will be meeting every Friday from 9:00-10:00 am, during the months of February through March 12, at the Madison County Historical Society Museum, 815 S. 2nd Ave., Winterset

Friends Meeting - 2nd Thursday, of month, from 6:30-8:00 pm --- February 2017 meeting will be held at the Madison County Historical Society Museum, 815 S. 2nd Ave., Winterset --

Library Board of Trustees - 3rd Tuesday, of month, from 6:30-7:30 pm

Story Time - every Wednesday & Thursday at 10:30 for preschoolers ages 3 and up --- During February through March 12, while the Library is undergoing renovation,  Story Time will be held at the Winterset Art Center, 224 S. John Wayne Drive, Winterset
